Jeep Parts to Take You Wherever You Want to Go

There are few things that make a rig look as aggressive as a great set of Jeep tires. These Jeep parts are designed and built to handle everything nature can throw at them, and then some. But before you go off and buy the biggest set of Jeep tires you can find, make sure that you're getting the best ones for the type of driving you intend to do. You'll need to be more specific than "off road driving" to make sure you get the best tires for your Jeep. Here are a few things to keep in mind for when you're ready to choose which of these Jeep parts to go with.

1. Traction – Of course, you're likely going to want Jeep tires that will hold their own on the off road trails, gripping onto the rocks and dirt. But something else you might want to consider is how those Jeep parts will perform on the highway. If you're doing a lot of day-to-day driving on Jeep tires built just for off road driving, you're going to experience more slippage on slick surfaces and a lot more road noise. If you just use your Jeep for off-roading and have another vehicle for everyday use, then this isn't a problem. But if you want to regularly transition between the two, consider getting Jeep tires that are designed for both types of driving.


2. Clearance – What kind of trails do you typically travel? Jeepers who are all about rock crawling are obviously going to need more clearance than stock Jeep tires allow for. The last thing you want is to get the undercarriage of your Jeep stuck on top of a rock that you were just short of clearing, risking damage to many of your Jeep parts. Installing a larger set of Jeep tires with a lift kit is the best way to get those precious extra inches you'll need on your rough and tumble rides. However, if you're just planning on taking it through the woods to find a great camping spot, you'll probably only need lower profile tires.


3. Terrain – The previous two points have touched upon this, but now we're going to get even more specific; different types of terrains need different types of Jeep parts for your rig to perform at its best. If you're trekking through muddy waters, then it's best to get mud tires that have siping specially designed for that purpose. Most brands of Jeep tires include an "Extreme" style that is designed for the most hardcore off-road scenarios. Or you can always go with the all-terrain tires if you're never sure where your Jeep is going to lead you.
